Yes, it’s the resort for the uptown kids and the Royals but it’s the Swiss resort where you go to: SKI. That’s why I like it, it’s not all glitz and glamour and Moncler (ok, there’s a lot of Moncler lol) but it’s actually tasteful and about being on the slopes, on and off piste, with a red hot serving of APRÈS vibes on the side.
I’ve been skiing in Verbier for the past few years and it’s become my favourite and go to ski resort. The balance of things to do, places to ski and eat (on and off the mountain) is perfect so it meets everyone’s needs.
Here I’ve shared my guide to Verbier, as well as my favourite ski brands and pieces, this season. Packing as we speak and don’t worry Mum, my helmet is on the top of the pile. xHermione.
The Experiemental Chalet | by my favourite Experimental group, this is the chicest place to stay with interiors to die for and amazing restaurants (FARM CLUB IS DOWNSTAIRS, could it be more convenient?!)
W Verbier | the first chain hotel in Verbs – extremest well located.
Hotel La Cordée des Alpes Verbier | in the hart of the 4 vallee’s with an amazing spa and restaurant.
Hotel Farinet | famous and central – boutique perfection.
The Lodge | Richard Bradon’s private lodge if you are looking for the ultimate in luxury.
Eat on the Mountain
Chez Dany | Worth the forest ski to get there – great food but no bookings so get there early for lunch in the sunshine.
Le Carrefour | quite far down the Mountain so better for dinner or an end of ski drink… get the ROSTI!
Le Dahu | Fondue or Pizza.
Le Rouge > my favourite immediately post ski.
Pub Mont Fort > at the bottom of Medrans
Farm Club > retro vibes since 1971, where I go for NYE.
Also try: Casbah and the newly refurbished Public.
