The Devonshire Club in London has very recently opened it’s doors and I will be the first to tell you, it is seriously going to shake up the London scene. Perhaps positioned as the more mature, corporate rival to the famed Soho House, the Devonshire Club is located near Liverpool Street station, between central and East London. No detail has gone unnoticed. From the music to the staff to the extraordinary fit out, this is the place I want to do everything from hosting important business meetings, to meeting friends for cocktails and even cinema screenings and pilates. Luxury defined, the Devonshire Club is not only a club, it’s a hotel, a gym, a spa and a cigar lovers heaven (think: a hidden cigar store and secret cigar smoking areas).
I was fortunate enough this past weekend to stay for 3 indulgent nights. Given my propensity to stay in hotels, it would be no surprise that I notice details, good and bad. Just six weeks post opening and I didn’t have one single complaint, it ran oh so smoothly (you’d hope so given the £25million expenditure!). The highlight? Dedicated and proud staff. I am so thrilled that we have a new hideout and I can’t wait to bring friends to show off the Devonshire.. set to become one of the most exclusive club’s in the world, run – don’t walk – for a stay or a membership. I’ll meet you there. xHermione.
