Prepare yourself by starting a fresh notebook you’ll enjoy using which will be purely dedicated to the challenge. Check out some of our favourites on the shop here. Ensure you have access to Spotify for the daily meditation and see here for all of the accompanying, daily tasks.
Decide when you’re going to do your daily task and meditation. Perhaps you find the meditations set you up for the day by encouraging a positive frame of mind or you may enjoy a quiet moment of reflection on your lunch break. The choice is yours!
Create or find a suitable environment without distractions for you to complete these. This could be in bed with a coffee before you check your phone in the morning, the bath in the evening or a quiet, cosy corner of the house. Some enjoy meditating surrounded by nature, so on a pleasant day you might choose to meditate in the garden or local park.
Choose meditation aids which enhance your overall experience and help you to switch off from the outside world. Meditation expert and teacher Ciara recommends using a weighted Eye Mask here to block out light while calming the body and mind. You don’t need anything extra in order to meditate but may choose to elevate your personal ritual and indulge in a little ‘’me time’’ by simply lighting candles, burning incense or applying your favourite essential oil to your pulse points.
Commit to completing the challenge in order to recognise the results and reap the long term benefits. We understand that life can get in the way but persevere once you start! It may be helpful to set a reminder on your phone, block out time in your calendar or start the challenge with a friend.
